The majority of complaints this year concerned the operations of territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCK) in the Transcarpathian region, stated Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights, in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.

According to Lubinets, over 4,000 complaints regarding violations during the mobilization process were filed with his office throughout the year. Most of these reports originated from Transcarpathia. While he did not disclose specific numbers, he noted that some regions, such as Kirovohrad Oblast, reported fewer complaints. He added that the majority of the complaints were found to be unfounded.
The news outlet reminded readers that in the first eight months of 2024 alone, the ombudsman received over 1,600 complaints from citizens alleging misconduct by recruitment center staff.
