On September 27, Miroszlav Bileckij, Acting Head of the Zakarpattia /Kárpátalja Regional Military Administration, met with Alex Rovt and Ambassador Hennadii Gutman in Uzhhorod/ Ungvár. The topic was to strengthen international cooperation, which is currently a priority of the President’s Office headed by Viktor Mikita.

According to a statement issued by Bileckij. Alex Rovt is a key player in building relations with the United States. The New York businessman is spearheading a cooperation agreement between Zakarpattia Province and the state of New York. Bileckij expressed hope that he would soon be meeting with Kathy Hochul, the Governor of New York, to personally sign the document.

The partnership offers tremendous opportunities for the Ukrainian province, home to the country’s ethnic Hungarian minority, in the areas of economy, healthcare, and cultural connections and cooperation.

“We can acquire new knowledge and experience to support the mental health of our citizens,” underscored Bileckij.

Fostering ties with foreign partners is crucial for the long-term development and stability of the region.
