Another tragedy strikes Transcarpathia due to the war. The latest Hungarian victim was Zsolt Szilágyi.

“Losing someone before the Christmas holidays is especially painful…” began Zoltán Babják, leader of the Berehove district, in his post. He continued: “With deep sorrow, we inform the public that Zsolt Deák, a resident of the Gát Subdistrict, lost his life in the war. The soldier was born on December 12, 1979.”

The Hungarian man died on December 16 while carrying out a combat mission near Kursk.

The mayor noted that the date and location of the funeral will be announced later.
